My name is John Hood and I have been a Patrolman with the Brazil Police Department for the past 4 years. The Brazil Police Department currently does not have a K9 program; however, I have just been approved to start fundraising for a K9.
Obtaining a police service K9 will not only benefit the citizens of Brazil, but the surrounding communities as well. Law Enforcement K9's are highly trained, but they come with a great financial obligation. In our attempt to provide the best possible service to the community without expending taxpayer funds, we are asking for donations from businesses and members of the community. All donations will go to the cost of purchasing a K9, training, and equipment for both the handler and K9. The estimated total cost of the project is $20,000. Any size donation will help and would be greatly appreciated. The Brazil Police Department is looking forward to having a new K9 partner!
