Hey everyone !!

Thank you so for your love and support

Boogie is 8 months old & was diagnosed with infantile spasms in January.

Infantile spasms also called "epileptic spasms" or West Syndrome is a type of epilepsy that tends to affect infants under the age of 2 years, and is characterized by clusters of peculiar seizures. These seizures—termed spasms—are involuntary and usually consist of a brief interruption of behavior, often with lifting and extension of the arms and bending forward at the waist. In many cases, this behavior is accompanied by a rapid and forceful drop of the head. Each cluster typically lasts a few minutes.

Infant Spasms are fairly rare affecting about 2000 children a year.

He got into a special program at OHSU that studied IS. He is in medication that has stopped the spasms but he still showing signs of Hypnorytyem on his EEG. They have added a steroid to help clean up his EEG. But he has currently had a reaction to the steroid so we are taking him off the. We upped the original medication in hopes of getting rid of both the spasms and erratic brain waves.

When he was born we were told he had a hole in is PFO. At our last cardiologists apt we were told that that hole has closed yay ! But he does have a very small hole parang ductus arteriosus. The hole is to small to tell if has gotten small, but the Dr says will more than likely need surgery. It’s is not open heart surgery they will just go through his veins. He also has a biccupid aortic valve it’s not causing us problem now but, we will need to keep an eye on as he may need it replaced.

He has been receiving non-traditional therapy that has made a huge difference.

He gets Reiki & I think this is his favorite. He is always so calm and relaxed after a session.

After some research we learned about Neurofeedback, is direct training of brain function, by which the brain learns to function more efficiently. We observe the brain in action from moment to moment. We show that information back to the person. And we reward the brain for changing its own activity to more appropriate patterns. This is a gradual learning process. It applies to any aspect of brain function that we can measure. Neurofeedback is also called EEG Biofeedback because it is based on electrical brain activity, the electroencephalogram, or EEG. Neurofeedback is training in self-regulation. It is simply biofeedback applied to the brain directly.

He sees DR. GIL for this and only has had one treatment and we already see an increase in mobility.

He also has just started treatment with Dr.Price, who does German new medicine. going to the root of the cause and healing from there. This has been huge and we see a difference.

We want to thank you so much for all of your love and support and prayers.
