Andrew "Drew" Vanisi is a gifted baseball player. In 2015 Drew completed his collegiate baseball career and was looking forward to taking a swing at a professional baseball career. In January 2016, Drew was diagnosed with stage 3B testicular cancer. By the time he was diagnosed, his cancer had alreay spread into his lymph nodes and abdomen. Drew commenced an intensive chemotherapy program and to date has completed 4 rounds.
Drew approached his chemotherapy with the same drive and intensity as his baseball career. As you can only imagine, It has been a long three months for Drew. He is doing very well and his tumors have normalized. The next step for Drew is to have his two surgeries.
This GOFUNDME account has been established to assist Drew and his family in covering medical expenses, chemotherapy, surgery, and help with his inability to work during this time. Drew is an extremely positive, proud person and remains upbeat during this hard time. Even with all of the side effects of chemotherapy, Drew is a fighter and is determined to beat his cancer into remission.
