Ben's Run For Borneo

Hello, my name is Ben Brooks and I'm a 16-year-old student from Nottingham.  In July of 2017 I will be embarking on a journey to Borneo with a wonderful charity called Camps International.  This is a working trip where I will assist
on a volunteer basis to build water pumps, schools and contemporary infrastructures in order to support and protect both the people and endangered wildlife living in the underpriviledged society that has been forced upon them. 

Part of this trip involves helping to upgrade the facilities at the orangutan and probiscus monkey sanctuary which recently featured on the popular ITV show "Animal Orphans".  I will also be teaching local children life skills and helping to improve their English.

I am fundraising for this trip by running a full marathon, 26.2 miles, and also participating in many group fundraising events.  I will be assisted by my familiy, friends and other volunteers who will be joining me on this trip.  I would be eternally grateful for any donations, however small (or large!).

The money raised from this page will be used to pay for the materials and resources that will be needed to undertake this project.
