On June 20, 2018 Baby Bengee was admitted to Children’s Hospital due to a ruptured vein that caused bleeding in his brain. The next morning Bengee was transported to UCSD to undergo surgery to repair the ruptured vein. Bengee was transported back to Children’s for recovery and post care.  A few days later he had to go through a minor procedure to place a drain to help with the fluid build up.  He was making great progress and was finally starting to get back to his smiling bubbly baby personality.  Things were going well enough for Mommy to return to work. However, on Friday morning it was discovered that the vein ruptured again.  Bengee was transported back to UCSD to undergo another surgery to repair the deformed vein.  The surgery went well and the medical staff is remaining optimistic that the vein will start functioning properly.
The doctors have decided to sedate Bengee for a few days to allow his little body to heal and recover.
While Bengee is recovering at Children’s PICU, Mommy will remain by his side and will be extending her leave from work.  Needless to say Venesa has only been back to work for a month after taking maternity leave. With Venesa being the primary breadwinner for her family, you can imagine the financial stress this will cause.
Thank you for your continued thoughts, prayers, support & love. God Bless.
