Bear's To Thank Police

Donation protected
January 21, 2017 was a beautiful day in Hartford. Our community took a stand for human decency at the Women's March on Hartford.  Both the Hartford and Capitol Police forces protected those exercising their first amendment rights with class and respect. One of the businesses in our community, Bear's BBQ, offered 10% off to anyone who attended the march. In response to this offer, Bear's has received numerous nasty comments and threats to boycott their business. This is a business that has committed to paying its employees $15 an hour.  Let's show HPD, Capitol PD, and Bear's some love. Let's buy some Bear's BBQ in honor of those who protected us on January 21, 2017.

All money raised will go to buy as much Bear's BBQ in honor of Hartford and Capitol Police. Deputy Chief Foley has requested that instead of the food going to HPD officers that it go to a community charity in Hartford in their honor.

Update: Bear's got wind of this. They won't even profit from it. Thanks to them, Veteran's with PTSD will. Bear's will match every dollar raised in a donation to K9's For Warriors, in our effort to supply a veteran suffering with PTSD a service/therapy K9.

Update 2: This was originally going to buy food for HPD. Brian Foley has requested that the Bear's go to a charity in honor of HPD.
