Clay Imports will be putting together an event for The Battered Women and Children's Shelter
We are excited to be able to do an event with the children so that they can have the perfect gift for their mothers for Mother's Day. Clay Imports will provide a planter for each child to give to their mother. Planters will be assembled and ready for each child to write a note and plant the perfect plant. We will have several of our team members head down to San Antonio on May 8th to plant and wrap the gifts with the children.
Funds raised will go towards planting and wrapping materials. All additional funds will be donated to The Battered Women and Children's Shelter.
We will be hosting an event on May2 at Clay Imports on 12024 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX at 5:30pm to assemble all planters for the Mother's Day occasion. If you're interested in attending please email Gaby at [email redacted] . For updates join the Facebook Event .
The Battered Women and Children’s Shelter of San Antonio has created an environment where victims of abuse could find respite from fear since 1977.
In 2002 the Battered Women and Children’s Shelter was moved to La Paloma De La Paz, a shelter complex that accommodate 220 people. In 2015 a new wing at BWCS was completed adding 12 dormitories that can accommodate up to 40 additional people.
At the BWCS, victims are provided with 24-hour crisis intervention and emergency shelter; individual and group counseling for adults and children; legal services; on-site primary medical and dental care and school for children (Pre-K – 12th Grade); adult education (literacy and computer literacy); and two transitional housing duplexes.
Help us reach our goal of $3,000 and give these families a loving and special Mother's Day.
