Injured Kitten's Vet Bill

Donation protected

On 08/18/15, I received a phone call regarding a kitten who was found injured and abandoned in a parking lot.

I picked her up in Camden, NY and rushed her to Village Vet in Canastota, where the doctors were able to use X-Rays and Ultrasound to determine that she has a fractured leg, but most importantly still has full motor function in all four limbs, which rules out spinal damage as I'd initially feared.

We were able to trace her microchip back to a young girl who was working at a barn and personally financing the neutering and vaccination of the cats who were frequently abandoned there. They were unsuccesful in their attempts to find the kitten a forever home, so she was staying in the barn from which she eventually wandered (over 5 miles away).

Her vet bills alone are $400, and the young girl who had originally rescued her was considering taking out a high-interest credit card to finance the fees. I know what Animal Rescue can do to a Credit Score, so I couldn't stand to sit back and watch a new mother take that kind of a hit.

I opted to cover the charges, hoping to fundraise small amounts from a large group of people to recouperate, or even just offset part of the bill.

Thank you!
