Bates project

This is my family. Rebecca and Mari Bates and I on my adoption day. They are foster parents. We got a  foster child 10-26-16. My foster brother came in when he was four years old for abuse. Every night he would have night terrors scream his head because he was scared to sleep. He would not hug me or my parents because he was scared we were going to hit him.  He never told us he loved us and he was always distant as the visits with his parents continued. They went to court every time and the judge would give his parents chance after chance and the parents wouldn't do anything that DCS or the court  would tell them to do within a year and a half time span. The court after almost 2 years is still on the first or second stage of court. Visits stopped and he started going  to a play therapist he was not having night terrors telling us he loved us doing stuff as a  normal 5-6 year old boy should be able to do.  I was a big sister to the little boy that is not my foster brother but my brother. My parents give him so much love. They went to court and the judge allowed visits and he might be going home. The visits have already started again hes getting distant he crys and think we are going to leave him forever. My parents are going to fight as hard as they can for him. But having a lawyer is so expensive and we just need some help. Anything we will be grateful for.  Hes not a foster to us hes apart of our family.
