Badger Vet Hurricane Harvey Relief

The Badger Vet Brigade is gearing up to help the people and animals impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Texas!
Our hearts are heavy as we have watched news coverage of the devastation in Texas. And this disaster hits close to home for Badger Veterinary Hospital as our practice and our CEO, Dr. Scott Spauling, have colleagues and friends in the Houston area. These friends include the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team, and Brenham Veterinary Hospital.
Badger Veterinary Hospital has been in contact with partners in Texas, and we are continuously forming a task force to provide supplies, veterinary care, and support for the relief efforts in the wake of the storm. We accomplished one wave of supplies that relieved Galvaston County. Many of the small towns are being helped very little as most of the big donations are going to the cities. No one can be forgotten!
Badger Veterinary Hospital is collecting supply donations at all three of our Southern Wisconsin clinic locations in Janesville, Cambridge, and Beloit. We are also collecting monetary donations that will be used to purchase supplies for the people in need, veterinary medical supplies, medicine, and equipment as well as additional supplies for people and their pets.There are thousands of people with pets who are in shelters and have no homes to go back to. Your generosity will go a long way for this community.
Animal supplies you can drop off at any Badger Veterinary Hospital location OR that we will purchase with monetary donations include:
- Dog food (high in demand)
- Cat food (high in demand)
- Cat litter and litter boxes
- Dog crates
- Collars and leashes
- Dog and cat bowls (high in demand)
- Hay for horses
- Hay nets
- Horse feed
- Feed buckets
- Bucket hangers
- Bandage material
- Fly spray
- Horse halters
- Towels
- Soap
- Range cubes (**There is thousands of displaced cattle that are starving)
Supplies for the people of Houston can also be dropped off at any Badger Veterinary Hospital location OR that we will purchase with monetary donations include:
-Bottled water
-Food
-Toiletries
-Baby Formula
-Baby Diapers
-Clothing (for all ages/genders)
-Shoes
-Towels
** Our next deadline is Thursday, September 28th. We will be having another load go down and possibly, a team of people. Let's fill the trailer!
