After Shelby and I became Christians in college, we both sensed a calling to love children through becoming adoptive parents. Three years ago, we began our adoption journey and have spent countless hours, hoping, praying, and wondering when this was ever going to happen. Our hearts have been broken many times on this roller coaster of a journey, but we always had faith that God was working this for His glory, our good, and would bring our baby boy home when it was His timing. And just three days ago, we were matched with a baby, who Lord willing, we will soon hold in our arms and call him our own!!! We can hardly believe it! The pregnancy is going very smoothly, and he is due in three weeks. After we stay in Atlanta for 2-3 weeks post birth, we should bring him home soon after.
We know from our son, Ryder, that it takes a village to raise a child. And, in this case, it will take a whole army of people to help us adopt Baby Benson! Since it is a private Christian adoption, we have to raise $47,000 and we have less than a month! Two weeks ago, we re-applied to become adoptive parents with a new agency, and we were approved last Friday. And within ONE HOUR we were matched!! We thought we would have more time to fundraise; so now we will really need a team of friends and family to help us!
Please help us bring Baby Benson home by:
1. Praying for God to guide and bless our adoption process (especially praying for Baby's health, protection, and salvation), and that we would be wonderful parents for him.
