Two friends are dealing with a situation that no parent wants to go through. Jessie is 32 weeks pregnant with baby Wynn.
He has been diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis. Basically a valve in his heart isn't opening fully. Therefore, the blood is backing up into the artery and is causing the neighboring valve to have a back up as well. Because of this, it's causing the valves to work harder and also increase in size.
Two options, wait until after birth to do heart surgery, or do surgery now and hopefully correct the issue for the remaining 10 weeks of pregnancy.
Stephen and Jessie are currently working with a team in Boston and will be making a trip next week to correct now.
We are wanting to help them with anything we can from medical bills and/or travel expenses.
