Miles Arthur Coleman was born on July 14th at 11:16 AM barreling in at 8lbs 8oz. The first 24 hours with him were idyllic. Although Joanna lost a lot of blood from the delivery, he was immediately able to go skin to skin. He passed all his initial exams with perfect scores. However on day 2 of life Miles had to be admitted to the NICU where he is still being treated. He is on a ventilator and must be fed through a feeding tube. His “presentation” of problems is a mystery to all of the doctors at the best Children’s hospitals in a 7 state region and one of the best in the country. Neurological tests, MRIs, brain scans, ultrasounds, x-rays, esophagrams, blood tests for infections all came back “normal”. The doctors are trying again to wean Miles off of the ventilator so he can be supported by a less invasive oxygen source.
Joanna and Jeremy are so appreciative of the love, prayers, and healing energy being sent their way in this trying time and know that M.A.C. is receiving the best care. Please keep the love and light flowing.
