Baby Elliot Christopher Czankner

Baby Elliot was born on October 23, 2019, to Allison Mollica and Christopher Czankner.  On Monday, November 18th at just over three weeks old, while en route to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for a procedure,  he became unresponsive.  He was in cardiac arrest, but was revived once he made it to CHOP.  He has since been on life support and is not strong enough to be removed from it.  He also cannot endure all of the required testing to know if he has experienced brain damage, but an EEG indicates delayed brain activity.  Even though risky, they will soon perform an MRI, while on life support, and with significant swelling and the onset of recurrent seizures.  The root cause of all of this is unknown so far, which adds to the fear and uncertainty.

His parents, who also have a 2-year old son, have limited paid time off and will be without income for several weeks or more.  This is in addition to the residual medical expenses that will not be covered by insurance.

Any donation to help these young parents would be greatly appreciated to allow them to spend the time needed with their baby and assist with the staggering medical expenses. All contributions will go directly to them.
