18 Hole Disc Golf Course @ MICS

My name is Matt Steger and I'm an Athletic Director for Mountain Island Charter School outside of Charlotte North Carolina. I am trying to raise money in order to implement a Disc Golf program into our school system and athletic programs. I would like to create a interscholastic disc golf team to compete against other interscholastic disc golf  teams at a high level of play all while learning about lifetime fitness. My goal is to fund 18 PDGA approved disc golf cages and 18 concrete tee pads for an 18 hole wooded course that is located on Mountain Island Charter School's campus. The designing of the course is already in progress and well underway. Creating this course would stimulate interest for the growing sport of disc golf and will reach age groups from Kindergarden to Seniors! It will teach students how to stay active long after team sports aren't readily available to them! I'm going to try and get funding for 6 months. MICS and the disc golf community would be forever thankful!
