My Volunteer Trip To Panama

Donation protected
My family is from a underdeveloped part of India. I have been to India a couple of times throughout my lifetime. The experiences that I have made during the few months I have visited were unforgettable. I learned about how other individuals live outside of the United States and how I should be appreciative for all of the resources that we have. The first time I travelled, I was ten years old and I saw a little girl on the street begging for water. That was the first time in my life where I felt as a human being, I needed to make change. No one should be deprived of natural resources such as water. From that one memory, I started my research on how I could make a change. Basic needs such as water and food were not the only things lacking in other countries. Medical attention and medicine was also something that many people did not have access to. As a college student on the pre-med track, I wanted to broaden my horizon and directly help others. One way that I can help is by traveling abroad and providing medical assistance to individuals who need it. I recently have been selected to participate in a service trip to Panama, to provide medical assistance for villages and areas who may not have the assistance. The funds will go directly into the registration fee and flight for the trip. I will be fundraising for the next three months, till the end of May. If I am able to raise this money, I will be forever grateful because I am able to follow my dreams in making change.
