Funeral costs for Baby Ethan Rudderham

On Monday May 6th at around 4:00am, Danielle and Mike Rudderham woke up to every parents worst nightmare. At just 22 weeks, 3 days gestation, Danielle’s water broke. She was admitted to the hospital at 9:30am where she was closely monitored. Sadly, the prognosis was grim and they were told their baby had a 10% chance of survival. What little chance had an overwhelming 95% chance against it for severe mental disabilities and heath problems. Danielle and Mike had to make the ultimate heartbreaking decision Wednesday morning to induce labour and allow him to pass. Thursday morning at 10:30 the induction process was started to prepare Danielle’s body for the upcoming labour and delivery. Friday morning at 8:20 the medication was started and at 4:10pm on May 10, 2019, Ethan Mathieu James Rudderham was born sleeping at exactly 23 weeks gestation, weighing only 1 lb. 3 Oz. and measuring 12” long.

This has been an absolute shock and such a devastating blow to our entire family. 

No one is ever prepared to lose a baby and no parent should have to face the nightmare of burying their child. Financially, there are costs accrued that you never thought you would have to pay for; funeral costs, cremation, urn, hand and foot molds, pictures, hospital parking, etc. As a family we are asking for your help, from the kindness of your hearts, to please donate any amount you can, to help ease these financial burdens off Danielle and Mike as they begin their journey through this unimaginable grief. As well, we ask that you respect their privacy during this devastating time while they process their loss.
