Frances' Gender Affirming Surgery!

Donation protected
Update: my surgery was successfully performed on April the 1st, 2019! Thankyou all so much for getting me to this goal

Who I Am:

Hey, my name is Frances Clark (Frances WP on Facebook)!
I am a 26-year-old artist and amateur astrologer passionate about learning and self-expression, living in Melbourne/Birraranga. And I am also a trans woman working towards Gender Affirming Surgery, which happens to be incredibly expensive!

My Intentions:

There are several Gender Affirming Surgeries that can be undergone. The particular surgical procedure that I seek is Genital Reconstruction Surgery. This can also be referred to as a vaginoplasty.

For me, gender dysphoria has always been distress related to my body. And my greatest dysphoria has always been about my genitalia. For this reason I have wanted to undergo this procedure for many years now, so as to feel more at home in my body. I see finally making it happen as a huge act of self-love, and one that I can gift myself after many, many years of dreaming of it.

* I feel it is important to note that my own experience of being trans does not reflect on the experience of any other trans person. It is entirely personal.*

Aside from actualizing my ultimate form, another perk of this surgery is that I will no longer need to take testosterone-blocking medication once it has been performed! This for me is a relieving prospect, as testosterone-blockers have impacted negatively on my mental health ever since I began Hormone Replacement Therapy.

*Once again, this is definitely not to say that all people taking testosterone-blockers will experience these unwanted side effects.*

Where I Will Go:

The doctor I will be going to is Dr. Chettawut in Thailand. Based on my own research and the guidance of a very kind and generous past patient, I have found that he is a pioneer and world-leading surgeon in gender-affirming operations, and I have attached his website in case you’d like to read about his clinic/technique:

At this point in time it is actually more cost-effective for me to pursue this procedure outside of Australia than it is within Australia. My surgery is now scheduled for April 1st, 2019! I will be accompanied by my endlessly loving found-family, Kitty Chrystal (pictured below)

A Final Message:

All donations that are made go toward my surgical and recovery costs, and each donation has a powerful impact. It's true that every bit counts, so collectively you can change my life! And I am so grateful to any and all of those who help in whatever way you can. Sharing this campaign on social media is another incredibly valuable way you can help. These surgeries change lives so powerfully and positively, and I appreciate so profoundly your help in actualizing this change!

Thankyou for your kindness and expressions of love and generosity,

Frances xo
