Friends and Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this message.
After over a year of bravely fighting Stage 4 Breast Cancer, as of today, (12/16/2015) Patty Proffitt has been placed into hospice care and given only weeks to live. The cancer has spread to her brain and the doctors have detemined that the only thing that can be done now is to make her comfortable.
Her husband of almost 40 years, Roger Proffitt, has chosen to remain by her side for her remaining days, along with their daughter, Summer Perkey.
This, of course, means that he is unable to go to work and continue to earn money for not only medical bills, but also day to day expenses.
Summer and I are helping out with their bills as much as we can, but we also have a home to support as well.
With your generous donation, you can help Roger spend the remaining time that his beloved wife has on this Earth with her, and not have to worry about being unable to pay for their insurance, house payment, food, electrical, etc.
Your donation will also go towards final arrangements for Patty.
Please, donate whatever amount that you can, even if it's only a dollar, as every little bit helps.
It is important that we raise this money fairly quickly, due to Patty's rapidly declining health.
Helping Patty and Roger to raise this money means so much to me because they have given so freely of themselves for their entire marriage. "Aunt Patty" and "Uncle Roger" have helped care for several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews, by providing them with a place to stay when times were hard financially, they have provided end of life care for several other family members in their home,
They have given so much to so many, that sometimes, they did without to help someone else.
The family would be eternally thankful for any donations that you can give to allow Roger to spend this precious little time with his wife. And please, also remember us in your prayers.
