Saying goodbye to an Angel

This is for my brother Beau Lucas.
To start off he’s a loving father of four, who has always placed the love, wants, and needs of his children above his own. He’s a hard working man who is self employed and worked hard to give his kids all the things in life they could ever want. If you know him, you can’t help but consider him a loyal and true friend, and for me an amazing brother who has always been there for me.
Sadly on June 25th, at 2 am, he was notified by Childrens Mercy that his second daughter Macklyn was in a terrible car accident. Her mother was driving home and lost control of the car and the forever changing set of events was put into motion. The car tragically hit a light pole and left her on a path that forever changed our lives and even worse his. Her mother walked away just fine, but Macklyn.. who just turned 5 years old two weeks ago wouldn’t be as lucky.
She was flown by air by to Children’s Mercy where she was in a coma and suffereing from a fractured skull and intense swelling. Beau rushed to her side knowing that this wasn’t going to be good. My whole family was notified that morining and rushed to be by their side as quick as possible praying for the best. Unfortunately, the accident was just to much for this little girl to handle. After a full day of her fighting and after all the prayers from family and friends, and treatment from doctors.. little Macklyn succumbed to her injuries.
This was a girl that was full of life, tougher than any boy and had a smile that could melt your heart. She fought valiantly to the very end. Heaven got an angel today that will forever make that place brighter. The saddest part is it was just to early for someone like that to leave us.
Im putting together this page to just ask people for anything they can give. This is the hardest moment in any mans life and that is saying goodbye to a child way to early. Being self employed, we all know that working is the only means for money and this is going to keep him out of that for a bit. He has three other girls to take care of who are also going to be hurting through this just as much. The medical bills alone are going to be astronomical. I just want my big brother to have the time to grieve without worrying about providing for his family immediately after. The bills will begin to stack up and the process as we can all imagine will not go away over night.
I just ask that you please find it in your heart to help him and give him what he needs most. The time to reflect on her life and say goodbye in a proper way. Thank you all so much for reading this and even considering it. Goodbless you all.
*UPDATE: These funds are going towards ensuring Macklyn has a proper burial that is going to be an added expense to everything else going on right now. Not only that, but they are going towards my brother who can’t work during this difficult time. In the blink of an eye his whole world changed and he lost someone so close to him that it will require the proper healing before he is able to even move on. Again this is why I am asking for help. To make sure everyone knows that Macklyn and Beau are loved beyond belief, to see the love and support that so many people have already given, and to allow him the chance to say goodbye the right way. Again thank you all for everything you have done so far for him. In this world that we often think is full of hate has once again proven that love and kindness still prevail.
