My name is Yudi (30), and I first met little Azi on the bus home from work. He was handing out coins to all the passengers for them to put in his charity box, which would then go to needy families and the homeless. After he handed me my coin, I put it in his box and went over to meet his mom.
Azi is a beautiful 4-year-old boy in special ed. He's missing his top teeth and has dyspraxia of speech (which is connected to his epilepsy) so it’s very hard for him to talk. Other children don’t understand him, so his mother has a hard time getting him play dates because he doesn't have any friends. He often gets bullied because he can't communicate.
But what this little boy does have is the biggest heart in the world. (Like when his mom cries, he runs to her room and brings her her jewelry to cheer her up.) And on that bus helping strangers give charity, where people were smiling and giving him high-fives, it seemed like everybody in the world was his best friend.
On March 19th, it will be Azi's birthday, and his mother is terrified he'll have another lonely birthday when no other children show up. Another birthday with no friends, fun or gifts.
So I want to give this awesome little boy the most awesome birthday, and give presents to the boy who loves to give.
Your generous donations will get Azi toys he's been wishing for, and children's books to help improve his speech. They will also go towards special toys that he can give to other special needs children, and he won't feel so alone.
Donations will also go towards balloons and party favors Azi can share with other children, and hopefully show them that you don’t need to talk much to be an amazing human being.
