Veterans/Youths Commemorate 100th Year at Vimy Ridge Commemorations in Ottawa 2017.
The 100th year commemoration of Vimy Ridge in 2017 is quickly approaching. We are sending our Métis Nation of Ontario Veterans accompanied by Métis Youths to the Vimy Commemorations in Ottawa in 2017. Having them participate in the ceremonies held in Ottawa presents a great opportunity for the Youths to learn first hand about the very battle that defined Canada as a great country during World War I.
We understand the value of education, experience and our patriotic duty. The educational, historical and cultural experience the Métis Youths will gain contributes and broadens their global knowledge and world view.
In order to accomplish this great feat, we are soliciting donations for this historic and education project.
