As some of you may know, this summer myself and a handful of young people from Emmanuel Church, Lurgan will be heading out to Athens in Greece to work alongside and aid refugees and locals. I depart on the Fourth of July and return on the Eleventh.
I am really looking forward to this and would appreciate any support.
Attached below is a link to a Gofundme specific to my own fundraising, a donation as simple as £1.50 makes immense differences, in comparison this is as much as your morning coffee! All my money to be brought out has been fund-raised already individually however anything additional is great.
Our specific focuses are to work and closely with the NGO Remar (Link attached if you’re curious!), encounter and form relationships with occupants of the area both refugee and local and to look for miracles such as healing in this area. Emmanuel has already been to this area before and been incredibly blessed in the opportunities that have found them, I am so excited to contribute my own experience to the stories I have been told.
Once again, I just want to emphasise the importance of work out here, a quick look at almost any newspaper is enough to indicate the alarming and growing dangerous reality of those escaping from civil conflict in their country.
