According to the numbers I’m not likely to succeed, except that I always have. The numbers say that I’m part of the small percent of black males born in Broward County who live to the age of 21.  I’m one of  two thirds of the survivors who didn’t end up in jail. I was part of the 65 percent of youth coming in to foster care after being homeless for three months. I’m one of 6 children. My mother holding us together the best she could after many experiences in foster care but when hard time fell on us I was left to take care of my younger brother for the last two years of my high school career. I was allowed to live on my own from the age of 15 until I graduated high school, joining the 57 percent of foster youth that age out of foster care with a diploma.  I wanted to attend Florida State University so that I could live in the State capitol, the place where the laws come from which affect people like me. After I graduating I am now amongst the 2-4 percent of former foster youth to graduate college.

All funding will be used to what I have up next.

Next, I will bring awareness to D.C. while I securing my Law Degree at Howard University School of Law.
Where I will advocate for youth in care with relentless legal scrutiny.
