Throw Tourist No 2 a "LIFE LINE!"

Donation protected
By now you've probably heard (or SEEN), Astoria's own Tourist No 2 is now back home on the Columbia River - where she belongs after a 50 year absence!

After over a year of planning by the non-profit Astoria Ferry Group, her voyage from the Seattle area was an adventure and ultimately a success. thanks to the expert seamanship of Captain Christian Lint.

The response to the effort to return this community treasure to its rightful home has been heartening and overwhelming!

Now, we need to reach out to YOU!  That's anyone and everyone who loves this project!  We have a lot of work ahead and we'll need lots of help.  Now that the Tourist No 2 has made it home, don't you want to have her around and accessible for a long time to come?
Raising at least $500,000 might sound hard, BUT if everyone who loves the ferry, has memories of the ferry, worked on the ferry, loves boats, had family ties to the ferry, loves Astoria, lives in Astoria, visits Astoria, has "LIKED" our FaceBook photos and videos (30,000+)...OR just thinks this is the coolest, most historic, most amazing effort to come along in a long while would give a tax-deductible donation of, say:
We would meet this goal!  Of course, any amount you wish to give is needed and enormously appreciated!

The Tourist No 2 will be undergoing repairs and receiving an extensive "sprucing up" over the next year in preparation for our goal of receiving a USCoast Guard Certificate of Inspection.  Once achived, the Ferry will offer Astoria waterfront excursions, serve as an event venue and be SELF-SUSTAINING!  It is doable, but the funds raised toward this goal are critical to get us there.

Help make it happen! Let's all work together to secure
the future for the last of Captain Fritz Elfving's ferries that served on the Lower Columbia.  Demonstrate your enthusiasm by donating!  You'll be a proud partner in a great community-based effort to preserve history.
