Aspire Training & Education called ASPIRE is a school for poor, homeless and orphaned children from poverty families in a community of Siem Reap province, Cambodia. You can read more about them at Aspire School & Orphanage.
On my journey, I knew I wanted to give back. I selected a country with extreme poverty and little or no local resources that provide support for those that just don't have many options. Honestly, I've observed in my first two days and amazed at the happiness with the little they do have. I was inspired by two kids I met that are success stories to the Aspire mission. They came as orphans and now are surviving on their own. I by no means implying that I will solve all of their problems but feel every little bit helps. There are so many in need and if your looking for someone to channel your donations to those in need, I would be priviledged to show you what you've helped me accomplish.
I would like to contribute towards a Christmas celebration to the kids and local families holiday season by funding and helping organizing a party. They also have immediate needs for a Tuk Tuk (taxi) motor that's used to shuttle kids to/from the orphanage, communities and school. Any remaining balance will be used towards the daily needs for food and personal hygiene items.
$800 - Christmas celebration for 150 (kids and families). This will include food, drinks, tent, table, chairs, and music.
$900 - Replacement of a used TukTuk motor.
$1800 - Food ($2/day x 30 kids x 30 days)
