Reaching for the Stars
As some of you may know, I am starting beauty school at the best school around in September. I couldn't be more excited!! I have been doing my own, and my friends' hair and make up since 7th grade and I've decided to make a career of it. One day I hope to open my own edgy, high- end salon, or possibly make a name for myself in the fashion indistry as a hair stylist/ make up artist for supermodels and stars. Whichever path I decide to take, I am determined to be the absolute best.
The whole tuition with supplies and everything comes to $18,500; but most of it is covered by grants and loans. The part that is not covered is what I am trying to raise money for! My classes will be 9am-5pm 5 days a week, and I will be working on my days off. Unfortunately that will only pay for basic bills and food... not much wiggle room! (I've even resorted to selling my stuff on ebay)
I am also trying to raise money for a car to make transportation to and from school easier. As of now it's looking like at least 2 hours each way via public transportation. I'm thinking doing that 5 days a week may drive me nuts :)
