As much as we try to cater to the things that happen in our lives, circumstances that are beyond our control tend to hit us when we least expect it.
Made the mad dash to be with my whanau here in Perth, to support and comfort them in their time of need, talk about heartache upon heartache.
Now it's time to return to Brisbane and I don't have the funds to get home.
Feeling ashamed to have asked for help, knowing there are a lot more worthy causes than mine, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I could get in a situation where it's beyond my control, to get out of.
I left my teens in Brisbane to hold up the home front, not realising that I could put our whanau at risk, by being stuck over here. Desperately needing to get home.
