Art for Refugees - Please Help

As I'm sure you have, I've been shocked and dismayed at the Refugee Crisis that's continuing to unfold daily. 

The after-shock of conflicts in Syria and other parts of the Middle East are now creating a humanitarian disaster, the scale of which we haven't seen for decades.

I've tried to help, through a little financial support and by raising awareness. In particular I've helped a small group of volunteers on the Greek  Island of Tilos.

Donations are growing and this charitable group is using this money to buy essentials; beds, showers, sanitation... the basic things that you and I (and our own children) take for granted every day.

I've been trying to think of quick ways to help raise more money, to provide this essential support when it's needed, right now!

So I've decided to Auction one of my own oil paintings -

However, this is an auction with a difference...



This painting above will go to the person with the highest single donation value by the 7th October.

However I'm also asking you to support this cause, with even the smallest amount, £1, £5, £10 or more.

Even if you don't 'win' the auction you will be helping to raise as much as possible for families in desperate situations.

The auction will end on the 7th October. I will notify the winner and details will be confirmed on my facebook page (found at www.BigNorfolkSkies.co.uk)

All monies donated will go direct to the Volunteer Team on Tilos, so every penny will be put to practical use, giving immediate help to people who are in real need.

The oil painting is my original work on stretched canvas, measuring 16" x 12" and will come signed, framed and carry a personal message of thanks and grattitude on the back.

The scene depicts the North Norfolk coastline, with big rolling skies and small boat. Total framed size is 52cm x 42cm.

I will cover the costs of shipping within the UK. Or you can collect the painting in person!

I have no idea if this plan will work but with your help, we could just make a difference.
