Would you like to lend a helping hand to empower and inspire the youth of the Boys and Girls Club? You can do this by supporting our mission of raising funds to help the Amie L. Mathy Center Boys and Girls Club located in the Washburn Neighborhood of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
One of Viterbo University’s five core values is service. Viterbo University’s goal is to become a better neighbor to the surrounding community. Community is not limited to just your neighbors. Community is a social group of any size whose members share common cultural and historical heritage. Through our class project, we are learning about service-learning. Service-learning means that we have been asked to engage in community service activities while keeping academic learning outcomes and reflection in mind so that we may connect our service to our academic disciplines. The goal of this project is to instill the core value of service in others so that the giving and service continues long after our class is over.
The process starts by getting YOU (the community) involved. Young people need a creative outlet. Items that we take for granted are also needed in order for them to feel comfortable in expressing themselves. Your donation will help our class provide the Boys and Girls Club with the resources to provide art supplies as well as toiletries.
