The Rickhouse Restaurant and Lounge strives annually to make a difference within the community that it supports, particularly it’s children. Christmas is a holiday near and dear to our hearts. As our community contribution we choose to make a difference in the lives of those that struggle during the holiday season. The Rickhouse hosts a Christmas dinner each year for our counties homeless and those suffering financial challenges. We strive to buy gifts, toiletries and items to help fight the cold for each and every child in attendance.
Unfortunatly, each year the number of residents in the community that are in need of our service grows exponentially. Last year we hosted 82 individuals ranging from newborn to 80 years of age.
This endeavor was previously funded solely by the owners of the restaurant. However, during last years dramatic growth of those wishing to attend we accepted donations from some of our closest friends and patrons.
This dinner is about so much more than a meal. However, due to the growing number of children, we need assistance from our loyal community. We provide gifts, neccessitys, and toys for all of the children that spend Christmas Day with us. We have received countless thank you cards from our guests, most for simply giving them a night of normalcy.
We come to you and ask that you donate so that we may expand this experience to include every comfort that we may offer our invited guests and especially their children on Christmas Day in the form of gifts and necessities. We assure you that every penny donated (and then some )will provide the very best Christmas experience The Rickhouse Restaurant and Lounge has to offer.
Our deepest wish is to see the shimmer in the eyes of a child when they receive their gift from Santa.
