Anna's Buck-I-Serv Trip to NYC!

Hey, friends!
My name is Anna Berlon, and I am a freshman at The Ohio State University. I believe that small acts of kindness can change the world.
I am fortunate to go to an university that offers a diverse range of opportunities. I have been accepted into OSU’s Alternative Break Program, “Buck-I-Serv”. This March, I have the opportunity to travel to NYC to work with the Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP).
However, I can’t get there on my own. While I would love to volunteer and give back to these children, I am a working-college student and cannot afford all of the costs associated with this service trip. My goal is to raise $400, which helps cover transportation, lodging (in a hostel), and program fees such as food and tools/supplies needed for the service projects. Will you help me serve these children with a $10 donation to sponsor my alternative break experience?
Your contribution will give me the opportunity to work with fellow Buckeyes:
-Preparing and serving meals at soup kitchens in NYC
-Providing recreational activities and companionship to young, formerly homeless children
-Distributing food and supplies at pantries
-Socializing with and bringing snacks to people in drop-inn centers
-Participating in other special projects (i.e. painting a new shelter with residents or distributing clothing at a clothing bank)
Your generosity is instrumental as I prepare for this service trip. One of YSOP's goals is “showing (young people) how even their smallest actions can make a difference in the lives of others." Thank you for the role you’re playing in investing in these children and in support of my service experience--every donation helps.
