Anna's Trip to Cambodia

Hi everyone!
First of all, thank you in advance for taking the time to visit this page. I am so grateful for you! You are here because I will be traveling to Cambodia in September to share the Gospel and my gifts with the people of Phnom Penh [puh-nawm pen] through medical missions. 1 Peter 2:24 tells us by His wounds we have all been healed. We now are called to carry one another's burdens in this momentary life. It is my desire to give spiritually and physically to reach the vulnerable people of this country whose history is marked by genocide but whose future belongs to the Lord.
The Lord planted a seed in my heart earlier this year to travel abroad and witness the ways He is working in people outside of the U.S. When I finally said this desire aloud to a close friend, she told me she was going to recommend I go on a trip with Freedom's Promise before I even mentioned what the Lord was speaking over me! As I type this paragraph, I sit in overwhelming awe of His faithfulness.
During this time in Cambodia, I will be partnered with a group from Freedom’s Promise to provide medical clinics and sex trafficking prevention classes in outlying areas. Freedom’s Promise is a Nashville-based organization that is actively working to prevent the exploitation and trafficking of individuals by restoring communities and introducing the hope of Jesus Christ. Our focus will be working with local schools and churches to provide community health outreach and education. By teaching community leaders on disease prevention, nutrition, and basic health, it is our goal is to equip these leaders with the knowledge to sustain and grow their communities after we leave.
I am asking you would consider making a tax-deductible donation today in partnership with me, Freedom’s promise, the people of Cambodia, and above all, our Heavenly Father. The trip will begin on September 13th and ends on September 24th. I am needing a fairly immediate $1700 for the deposit and flight costs by the end of this month. The rest will be raised over the coming months before the trip begins.
If you are unable to give financially at this time, I'd ask you pray for my heart to continually be softened towards this awful injustice of sex trafficking, that His will be done first and foremost during our time in Cambodia, and for eyes to be opened to see God in all His wondrous glory. I will be writing and posting photo updates throughout our trip at my personal blog, www.queenoftyrants.com.
