Hi to all the caring compassionate people in the world! My name is rose and we come from a family of modest means!I have had the pleasure to have my neice Breanne Prime in my life for 22 years. She has overcome so many obstacles and is still a pillar of strength! I love her very much and if there is one thing I can do for her is to raise money for her end of life needs and possibly extra for the future of her unborn child. A few years ago she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. The same type of cancer that Terry Fox had! At a young age she was headed into a surgery that she didnt no wether she would wake up with a leg or not!Fortunately the drs. were able to save her leg but her future was uncertain as the cancer had spread to her lungs! She has surpassed her life expectancy as it is but is struggling to meet the financial demands of her condition! She is in palliative care now and we were given an unexpected surprise! She is with child! she fought thru her surgery and fought thru gruelling chemo treatments and wants to fight on for the sake of the child! All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and pray for a miracle!Breanne is the bravest woman ive ever known!friends and family have offered to do a fudraiser for her but it hasnt happened as of yet and she is struggling now! Her biological mom is in an adult care home for brain injuries due to an accident therefore breanne s childhood was very difficult!her tumours in her lungs are now 4 and 5 cms and she still doesnt complain from the terrible pain!she has the will to live and has always dreamed of being a wonderful mother! I no she  would be and hope life grants her this one last wish!for my loving neice

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I announce that Breanne Megan Smaaslet lost her courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her close friends and family! The ground literally shook with an earthquake and Breannes bed swayed too and fro as the heavens awaited the arrival of a woman that showed strength and determination and defied all medical odds!Even with the tragic loss of her husband she focused on baby Sal and endured so much pain and suffering it was hard to bare! But I knew my job was to support her in her wish to become a mother and that she did!She loved Sal so much that Breanne put herself second and took cancer head on!December 30th 2015 at 6 am surrounded by close friends and family she made her journey to the heavens to be reunited with her husband Adam Smaaslet!Baby Sal is our christmas miracle and a constant and beautiful reminder of his loving parents!Sal is doing well and Im sure mom and dad are watching over him constantly!I would like to thank all the friends and family as well as ctv for sharing this bitter sweet story! We have achieved our goal and so much more thanks to all of u!The family is taking a few days to mourn and make the funeral arrangements.I will keep updating on the progress of baby Sal and I apologize if I havent gotten back to all the gracious donors as my time has been spent at the hospital with my neice and now with baby Sal!Happy New Years to all!Prayers for the health and future of our miracle child!

Wow!What an incredible Merry Christmas it was for our families! If people don't already know, my neice Breanne Smaaslet, gave birth to a baby boy on Christmas day!We were told to say our goodbyes in case Breanne didnt make it thru the procedure! We were blessed with not only one miracle but 2!Breanne and baby Sal both made it and Breanne's christmas wish of holding her son came true!Momma and baby are both resting and remain in the fight!Just to reiterate to people who are knew to this campaign, that my name is Rose Horan Pachota and I am Breannes aunt!I started this page back in August to help a young couple in love with an unusual set of circumstances! My neice had been fighting osteosarcoma since 19 years old and we were told it was terminal and to expect at best 6months to a year!Through out the operation to save her leg and the cancer treatments there was a bright light!Adam came into her life and gave her so much light and love that her will to survive now had a purpose! They fought cancer together, became pregnant and got married on Sept 11 2015!Thanks to all the gracious donors, money from this campaign was used to help support this journey!Destiny had other plans for adam!As life changes so did the focus of this campaign! All funds donated are in a private bank account with Breanne having access and the only say as to where and what the money should be used for!I keep her updated regularily and show her the deposits! She is completely overwhelmed but very thankful for the outpourring of support for her and baby Sals future! When I started this campaign I had no idea how much people wanted to help! This is the very first time I have done anything of this nature and I am learning as I go!All funds donated will be used for Breanne and Sals everyday needs and medical costs associated with the hospital as per mommas request and setting him up with all the usual baby supplies! In the event that momma doesnt make it and baby sal lives past 30 days all remaining funds will go into a trust fund for his future! If neither of them make it all remaining funds will be donated on behalf of Bre, Adam and Sal to the canadian cancer society for research of osteosarcoma!Im so sad to even think of this but donors want and need to no that their financial gifts will be well looked after and Breanne is of sound mine and is clear about her wishes and decisions that have been made!We as a family have endured all our own hospital expenses and every cent of donors money goes to Bre and Sal!WIll keep everyone posted and thanks again for caring and sharing what could be our greatest gift ever!LIFE

Updated story: In what could be called a Christmas miracle, a dying woman’s last wish has been fulfilled. Breanne Smaaslet, who has terminal cancer, told CTV News that her dying wish was to hold her unborn baby – and on Christmas Day she did just that. Baby Sal was born Thursday night at 26-and-a-half weeks, weighing 1.4 pounds and crying and breathing on his own. On Friday morning, Smaaslet’s family said both mother and son were doing okay, and asked everyone to keep the family in their prayers. Previous story: Breanne Smaaslet has just one wish this Christmas: that she’ll live long enough to meet her unborn baby boy.

Thank you all so much for you generous donations and prayers. I went to see Breanne today and we had a good visit. She gets very tired so our visits usually don't last too long, but I am very thankful for all the time get to spend with her. She is 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant and her and Adam's baby boy has a better chance of survical everyday. Her aunt, Rose, tries to update as much as she can. I posted a comment the other day for a video a friend made for Breanne, to view the video you can copy the link and paste it into Google. Unfortunately, I do not know how to get the hyperlink to come up in the comments. Again, thank you all so much for your love and support, Breanne, family and friends truly appreciate your compassion and generosity.

As I lay on the bed across from Bre watching her fight for every breath and seeing her endure the immense pain with one goal in mind - to get to 28 weeks for the best possible health of her baby boy. It truly amazes me how Bre epitomizes the power of the human spirit to overcome and face all the challenges she has had to encounter. This wasn't suppose to happen this way. Bre wanted to leave a part of herself through her baby boy for her husband Adam. Unfortunately Adam tragically passed away on Nov. 18, 2015. This was an especially difficult time for Bre as she not only lost his support, she also lost the love of her life and lost the father of her baby boy. Inspite of it all, Bre bravely soldiered on refocusing back to concentrating on saving her precious baby boy who will be at 25 weeks beginning Dec. 14, 2015. Lets all help Bre achieve her goal by sending her our prayers, our love, our positive thoughts and energy. Lots of Love - Gramma (Vi)

How exciting to hear the baby and mother are doing fine. My naturopathic doctor just sent me info about a simple method to try to kill cancer cells. Mix 1 part of baking soda with 3 parts of honey of maple syrup and warm up with low to medium heat on the stove. Give the patient 1 teaspoon one to three times a day. Do not refrigerate the mixture. The theory is that sweetness attracts cancer cells but alkanility in baking soda is toxic to cancer cells. I think it is no harm to try this method, it does not cost anything.
