Six years ago we were pregnant and excited to welcome our daughter into the family! She was due to arrive on St. Patrick's day, but just a few days before we did not feel kicking and went in to check on her.
There was no heartbeat.
Lauren was born perfect early the next morning. 7 pounds, 3 ounces and a head full of gorgeous dark hair.
Burying our little girl was the hardest thing we have ever done. Yet through the pain and the grief much goodness has come into our lives.
Soon after her death we found an amazing organization called Teeny Tears that provides tiny diapers, hats and blankets to the families of littlest babies gone too soon, 14-32 weeks gestation. Volunteering with them has helped heal me and my family in so many ways. These little diapers mend hearts that are broken every day for thousands of families.
For Lauren's 6th birthday we wanted to do something big, so we are raising $6000 for this organization. Everyone involved is a volunteer, and no penny is wasted! Money raised will help ship these little treasures all over the country, and the world! It will also provide much needed supplies to complete each donation requested.
Teeny Tears has donated more than a quarter of a million DIAPERS, along with more than a hundred thousand blankets, gowns, and hats for bereaved families going through an extremely tender and difficult time in their lives. They are currently serving more than 2,500 hospitals, with new requests coming into their headquarters every week. Every year they RESTOCK participating hospitals with supplies, as well as reach out to new ones!
It's incredible, right? But it's not about the total number. It's about each little baby. Each little family. Each precious child treated with dignity and dressed in the cutest little diaper when everything else is too large to fit! And they get a matching diaper to keep as a memory forever. Teeny Tears wants to serve everyone they possibly can. You can help!
