Hello,
My name is Alyssa Faro and I'm currently a nursing student at Regis College. I've always had a passion to help others and never, until now, have I had an opportunity to leave around my home to do so. I've been doing everything I could around where I live to help those who need it most. This year will be my 5th consecutive year volunteering at Boston Childrens Hospital. This is an opportunity to to help and serve one of the disadvantaged populations. My college peers and I will be working hand in hand with Simply Smiles all through August 13, 2016- August 20, 2016 at the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation. With the help of your donation I will be building homes, organizing community building activities, and learning about Native American culture and traditions. The money will be used to cover travel expenses, service fees, and any other activities we will be taking part in.
The goal is to brighten futures for impoverished children, their families, and their communities. Many children have lost sight of their futures.
While I have been helping out in Boston I'm looking forward to the door that's opened to help somewhere else. These people have had very difficult lives and suffered through out the years. Being a part of the group of people impacting the lives of the deprived Cheyenne community is very important to me.
These people need smiles and hope, and I look forward to being a part of this experience for them. Thank you for your support,
