Cleft palate Surgery for my nephew (Alden)

My 3 year-old nephew, Alden Mark Quiambao, recently migrated in Daly City, California in July 2018 from the Philippines. He was diagnosed and inborn with cleft lip and cleft palate. At 6 months old, he had proper, succesful procedure, and treatment for the exterior part of the lip. However , the interior part of the lip was left untreated due to poverty. My family could not afford the cost of the surgery to continuously care for his cleft lip. 

Alden Mark is energetic, playful and very smart kid, who is looking forward to go to school next year. But as we have a hard time understanding his speech, because of his cleft lip and cleft palate, my whole family and I are concerned that he might be misunderstood by others.

Everyone deserves a great big smile, and Alden Mark has what is  takes to be given that  chance, as he put a smile on my face and everyone around him- it is contagious. But having a cleft lip and cleft palate is more than surgery- and would also need dental care, orthodontics, and speech theraphy.
