Olá a todos! Sou a Joana e vivo em Portugal. Há cerca de 2 anos juntei-me a uma organização e comecei a ajudar a esta família. Infelizmente a organização já não existe mas eu mantive o contacto com a familia fazendo os possíveis para os ajudar.
Na fotografia está o pai Kaasem, a Marwa, o Khaled, a Mona, a Halima, a Amina (mãe) e a bebé Mariam.
A família é da Síria e está de momento a viver numa "tenda" no Líbano. Deixaram o resto da família para trás há cerca de 5 anos. Há um ano tiveram de se mudar para uma tenda pois não conseguiam pagar a renda do espaço onde estavam.
Eles precisam muitoo de ajuda! O Khaled e a Halima não estudaram durante algum tempo (a mesma fica longe e não têm como pagar o autocarro e outras despesas escolares) mas com os donativos já recebidos o Khaled voltou recentemente para a escola! Apesar de não se pagar a escola no Líbano, o custo do autocarro é o que impede muitas crianças de continuar a estudar. Neste momento a Mona e a Marwa estão na escola.
A Halima (a filha mais velha) como esteve muito tempo sem estudar, foi proposta a casar... Infelizmente esta é a realidade de muitas crianças que como ela que não têm possibilidades para estudar. Para que o mesmo não aconteça às irmãs Marwa, Mona e mesmo à Mariam quando crescer, elas têm de ir para a escola!!
Crianças como eles não têm grandes probabilidades de sequer conseguirem chegar ao ensino secundário, mas se a Mona continuar a estudar talvez chegue à faculdade, e não tenha de casar cedo e ter filhos com 16 anos, ou mesmo mais nova. Se o Khaled continuar a estudar, talvez consiga ajudar as irmãs a quebrar o ciclo de pobreza onde estão inseridos. Estudar é a arma mais poderosa que eles têm neste momento. A Mona quer ser médica, mas na cultura dela as mulheres não devem trabalhar. Para ser independente a Mona precisa de estudar, e todas as outras milhares de crianças como ela.
A Mariam ainda é muito pequenina e a mãe (que se chama Amina) pediu ajuda para comprar leite em pó e cobertores para todos! De Inverno faz muito frio no Líbano (ainda para mais numa tenda) e por isso ajudar a pagar o aquecimento é uma das prioridades!
Tal como qualquer criança também eles gostam (muito!!) de presentes e roupa nova!
Sobre as crianças:
A Halima tem 17 anos e quer trabalhar na indústria da beleza (Infelizmente não está a estudar... e vai casar dentro de uns meses)
A Marwa tem 14 anos e quer ser enfermeira
O Khaled tem 12 anos e quer ser mecânico (Já está a estudar!!)
A Mona tem 9 anos e quer ser médica
A bebé Mariam tem 1 ano e 2 meses e precisa de muitas fraldas e roupa quente! :)
A quantia definida de 5.000 euros será para conseguir garantir o seguinte durante algum tempo:
Lista de despesas:
- Custos para escola Khaled: 25€ transporte autocarro por mês + 20€ por mês para despesas escolares como material escolar + alimentação na escola = 45€ p/mês
- Custos para escola Mona e Marwa: 20€ transporte autocarro + 20€ por mês para despesas escolares + material escolar = 40€ p/mês cada uma
(O autocarro da Mona e da Marca é 5€ mais barato porque a escola é mais perto de onde vivem)
- Alimentação = média 260 euros para todos
- Pagar aquecimento = 160 euros por mês
- Ajudas alimentação e roupa para a bebé = média de 60 euros por mês para leite, comida e fraldas
- Precisam urgentemente de cobertores e roupa de Inverno
- Ajudar a pagar a renda
O dinheiro recolhido é enviado em várias parcelas (mensalmente) através da WesternUnion diretamente para a mãe Amina Samir Kuwaider.
( Quem puder ajudar como padrinho / madrinha e que possa assegurar a educação / alimentação mensal destas crianças basta entrar em contacto comigo )

Hello everyone! I am Joana and I live in Portugal. About 2 years ago I joined an organization and started helping this family. Unfortunately, the organization ceased operations but I kept in touch with the family! Doing what they can to help them.
The family is from Syria and is currently living in a "tent" in Lebanon. They left the rest of the family 5 years ago. A year ago they had to move to a tent because they could not afford the house they were living in. They need a lot of help! Khaled and Halima were out of school for some time (The school is too far from the place they live in and they can not afford the bus and other education costs) but fortunately and thanks to donations he is finally back and very happy! Although school in Lebanon is free, the high cost of the bus is what prevents children from continuing studying... Mona and Marwa are studying but their sister Halima (17years) was out of school for so long that she is going to marry. Unfortunately, this is the reality of many children who like her don't have the possibilities to study.
To prevent the same to happen to her sisters Marwa, Mona and even Mariam they have to go to school !! Children like them are not very likely to make it to high school, but if Mona continues to study, she may get to college, and not have to get married early and have children at 16 or younger. If Khaled continues to study, he may be able to help his sisters and break the cycle of poverty in which they are inserted. Studying is the most powerful weapon they have at the moment. Mona wants to be a doctor, but in her culture women should not work. To be independent Mona needs to study, and all the other thousands of children like her.
Mariam is still very young and her mother (named Amina) asked for help to buy powdered milk and blankets for everyone! Winter is very cold in Lebanon (even worse if living in a tent) and helping to pay the heating is a top priority!
Just like any child they also like (a lot !!) gifts and new clothes!
About the kids:
Halima is 17 years old and wants to work in the beauty industry (Unfortunately she is not studying and will marry in a few moths)
Marwa is 14 years old and wants to be a Nurse
Khaled is 12 years old and wants to be a mechanic (He is back to school!!)
Mona is 9 years old and wants to be a doctor
Baby Mariam is 1 year and 2 months old and needs a lot of diapers and warm clothes! :)
The amount of 5,000 euros is to guarantee the following for some time:
List of expenses:
- School costs for Khaled = 25€ monthly for the bus + 20€ monthly for other school expenses such as meals and school materials (books etc) = 45€ monthly
- School costs for Marwa and Mona = 20€ monthly for the bus + 20€ monthly for other school expenses such as meals and school materials (books etc) = 40€ monthly for each of them
(Marwa and Mona's schools is slightly closer to where they live so the bus is 5€ cheaper)
- Food = an average of 260 euros monthly for all of them
- To pay for heating (oil) = 160 euros per month
- Powdered milk, food and clothing for the baby = an average of 60 euros monthly for food, milk and diapers.
- They urgently need some blankets and more winter clothing
- To help paying the rent
The money collected will be divided into smaller parcels and sent monthly through WesternUnion directly to the mother Amina Samir Kuwaider.
(For those who can help monthtly as a godmother / godfather and can ensure the education / food of these children contact me)
