NK Refugee Speech Program for TNKR

Donation protected

Speech has a profound effect upon individuals, and movements in public speech can have an incremental effect upon history.

I am a lecturer in 'Public Speech and Rhetoric' at a university in Seoul, South Korea. On October 13th, I will be hosting, along with Casey Lartigue of TNKR  (Teach North Korean Refugees), an event at my university featuring two North Korean refugees as guest speakers. These two brave women, Cherie Yang and Sharon Jang, are making a name for themselves as emerging leaders on behalf of North Korean citizens and refugees alike. I greatly look forward to having my students hear their stories.

I am hoping to raise funds, not only to further support the speakers mentioned above, but to help the charity (TNKR) create more opportunities and quality support for future storytellers who have escaped the desperate situation in the North.

One hundred percent of the money donated will be allocated to the charity, NOT to myself or the university for which I have organized the event.

Please give what you can. Anything and everything can help the future of our society and global situation, as well as raise awareness for those who have been dispossessed.

Sincerely,

James-Maxwell Milne
