BROKEN PUPPETS video shoot Uganda

Greetings,

We are reaching out to fans, friends and family from the present, past and future, to help us make something incredible happen and we are running out of time.

Imagine this. A stage in a forest on the Nile River in Uganda, a lyricist from Brooklyn and Uganda meet for the first time and perform the song "Mash Down Babylon" with Germany's production duo ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS and Ugandan dancers shaking the ground. And YOU helped make it happen.

For the past two years, ThePoet AZEEM and ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS have collaborated to complete the group's self-titled album BROKEN PUPPETS, which means, free thinkers. When Dogu of ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS got invited to Uganda for dance laboratory THE FAKE EMPIRE and deejay a show in Jinja, he left a copy of the BROKEN PUPPETS album with the promoters and worked and recorded with a local artist named BLESSED SAN.

BROKEN PUPPETS have now been invited to represent our music and message at the NYEGE NYEGE International Music Festival In Jinja Uganda. The festival takes place on the shores of the Nile River, surrounded by lush forest. Two stages with state of the art sound systems will feature over 30 acts from over 12 different countries.

Noun: Nyege Nyege >>> The feeling of a sudden uncontrollable urge to move, shake or dance.

As artists, we have traveled to many different places but the location and international scope of this particular festival stands out as something special. We have always made music with integrity and a strong message from the heart. We want to share that energy at this event where we know it will be fully absorbed. We will film the video for MASH DOWN BABYLON  with BLESSED SAN, who is featured on the song.

This is an example of how music blends cultures and forms bridges around the world.

If you are a fan of ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS and AZEEM, a lover of music, or someone who just likes to see dreams manifest, we would greatly appreciate your support.

Here are a few reasons why you will feel good after making this event a success:

> because you're a free thinker too
> because you love African culture and want to give a voice to African artists
> collect good karma points
> show your friends the music video you helped finance in Uganda, in a forest at the River Nile
> because you didn't know the Nile River began in Uganda
> help to preserve the art you love
> because by donating, you get a copy of BROKEN PUPPETS album
> we need your help
> because music heals

Peace & Love
