Aimee's SI Scarring Cover Up Fund

My name is Aimee Calma, and I am a woman in my late 20s who wears her past on her arm.

As a teenager, I used self mutiliation as an unhealthy coping mechanism to deal with my mental illness. Because of the way I coped, I now live with many large, puckered and raised scars on my right forearm. I have not self harmed in over a decade and as each day passes it becomes harder and harder to live with the memories and physical reminders of a person I was a long time ago.

I am attempting to raise $750 to cover these scars in a manner of tattooing that will disguise them best. In my adult life, I have been passed over for job opportunities because of my scarring, and approximately once a month I have a stranger ask me about the cause of the marks on my arm. Each time this happens I am thrust back to that vulnerable young adult, and I am asking for your financial help to finally close that chapter of my life.
