Please see the french version of the campaign description below.

COCACOA, the Congolese Catholic community of America, is a partner in La Caritas Kananga, which supports vulnerable people in the field. After the bloody conflicts of 2016 to 2017 that left many victims in Kasaï, the population faces a large influx of Kasaians expelled from Angola. There, there are women victims of sexual violence and unaccompanied children who are often sick. They miss everything. This is why COCACOA wants to collect this fund quickly to make available to these refouls before December 25, 2018 to allow them to find food for Christmas and New Year, what to wear and get treated at this time of end of the year when it rains a lot in Kasaï and to help them to reintegrate. The project plans to support displaced households with basic necessities. This fund will allow them to pay for clothes, food, and an ambulance to treat and transfer the sick quickly to a nearby hospital. Thus, this fund will also buy a few medicines to make available to the St George Hospital in Kananga, which will have to take care of patients and women victims of sexual violence for free for three months. This action will save many lives. We are very grateful to all those who support this project and pray that God will bless them abundantly. In the short term we need 25,000 US dollars to pay for clothes; food, a second-hand ambulance and transportation of collected goods. In the long term, we will need $ 25,000 to buy drugs and medical devices for the free medical care of displaced people. We will also need $ 25,000 to support an agricultural program to donate an agricultural kit and seeds to displaced people who will be settled in a few sites around Kananga. Finally, we need $ 25,000 to provide micro-credit for displaced women who want to start an income-generating activity. Thank you for contributing to save a life. May the Lord reward you a hundredfold.
