Rent Help for Single Mom

Pamela is a waitress at a local cafe and was told that the cafe would be closed next week for remodeling.  Employees are required to take the week off without pay. As a single mother of two with no partner to turn to and barely making it from paycheck to paycheck, a week without pay means she won't be able to make her rent. 

Having raised my son as a single mother since the day of his birth, I know just how challenging getting through such an unexpected expense can be. I'm a regular at this cafe and Pamela is an especially kind and caring person. She has always impressed me with her friendliness and making me feel special just for showing up.  If you can offer anything to help, I know it will make a huge difference in Pamela's life. I'd love to surprise her with whatever small gift we can give her and show her that we value her as part of our community and as a mother who is doing an amazing job raising her children on a pauper's salary.
