Aguadilla Ice Arena Repairs

We at the Lake Delton Ice Arena in Wisconsin learned that the Aguadilla Ice Arena in Puerto Rico was damaged in Hurricane Maria and has yet to reopen. Our facility hosts hundreds or youth hockey teams and a large number of figure and public skaters during our season.  We see first hand how much joy skating brings to people of all ages. 

Last summer we installed new hockey boards in our facility. We had been trying to find a new home for our prior boards and reached out to a local contact in Puerto Rico to offer assistance. The City of Aguadilla as you can imagine has prioritized funding and has no funding set aside to repair the facility and get the arena up and running again.  

After a site visit, we learned that the facility is in need of solar repair, hockey boards (our donation) netting, glass, goals, skate aids, and the cost associated with the installation of our boards, ice paint and other equipment needs. We are seeking any assistance in aiding in getting this facility up and running for everyone to enjoy. We currently are hoping to install boards in late July.
