Your generous donation makes the free Yoga Playgroup at Easter Seals possible! Your gift can easily be given in the name of a friend or loved one, and Bliss Kid Yoga will email a printable PDF thank-you card.
$10 = Supplies for a family,
$20 = Supplies and a class for a family
$50 = 5 mats
$100 = Supplies, mats and 6 weeks of classes for a family
Our yoga playgroup is carried out in partnership with Easter Seals for all families with babies and children under 3, with special considerations to help children of all abilities explore and benefit from yoga.
Yoga playgroup is a wonderful place to promote acceptance, encourage confidence, foster language development and social skills, and build physical and emotional strength and flexibility. This playgroup also serves as a safe, playful place for families to get the support, community, and self-care that they are often lacking as caregivers for children with special needs.
I wrote a blog post this week on our website to share my personal story about why I feel yoga for special needs children is important and why yoga at Easter Seals is close to my heart.
Where does my donation go?
100% of funding will go towards a monthly yoga series for up to 12 families, including fair pay for special needs yoga teachers and all supplies. We need to raise funding by January 5, 2017 in order to support this program through the spring session.
Who we are: We are Bliss Kid Yoga, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing yoga programs to underserved populations in order to promote community health and wellness.
