My name is Chef Caulden Jackson, i was born in Austin Texas, and moved to colorful Colorado at the age of 9. I worked in a bakery and pizza store as teenager, until going to college in Virginia. After returning home from school, I worked at a lending company for 8 years until the industry began to experience decreases in revenue which caused unexpected layoffs. After the loss of my job I pursued a career in culinary arts.
I am a single father of beautiful twin girls, and a graduate from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelors of Business in Food Service Management. I also have a concentration in Sales & Marketing, and an Associates of Science in Culinary Arts. Currently I am working full time to pay off student loans and support my family.
While attending school I had the opportunity to work under many well renowned chefs such as Chris Young and Ian Kleinman. I assisted in opening a breakfast restaurant in Broomfield, Colorado. The restaurant received a number of awards for best breakfast in the area. After becoming the sous chef of the restaurant, I was approached by the food network, and offered the opportunity to compete on the national television show called Cutthroat kitchen. https://youtu.be/C0-CFGEGc6Y?list=ELk-ubG_uT1RRly78BtP3bdw
I am now on to my next adventure raising money to help fund my food truck concept: Soup'er Waffles. The truck will provide deliciously stuffed waffles and homemade soups from scratch. I will use the funds for startup inventory and the cost of building.
I hope to raise enough to launch Soup'er Waffles by the end of summer 2016. Most of my savings has gone towards pre concept supplies and production so far. When I am not spending free time with my children I will be focusing on perfecting recipes.
Any help is appreciated, and I'm organizing lots of incentives to thank you for your support. After a successful launch of Soup'er Waffles, you will have the pleasure of satisfying your palate with a deliciously stuffed waffle and scrumptions soup.
