Atlantic Challenge Denmark Team USA
Donation protected
Greetings from Team USA!
Every two summers a dozen international youth teams assemble in a different country to participate in a friendly contest of seamanship called Atlantic Challenge. The teams compete in 38' Bantry Bay gigs, replicas of an 18th century admirals barge. They use these gigs to test their skills of rowing, sailing, seamanship and style in a variety of events over the course of a week. This year, Atlantic Challenge International will be held July 16-23 in Roskilde, Denmark. This year will be the largest Atlantic Challenge with 16 boats participating.
The Atlantic Challenge is an opportunity of a lifetime for youth. In a time where international cooperation is vital, we can help shape a better world starting with our youth and introduce them into the world as well rounded people through a mutual platform of a small sailing ship.
In order for youth to participate, the cost is $3500 per team member. There are 15-20 youth participating this year. All funds raised by this campaign go directly to our youth as scholarships.
Our programs rely on our communities for support, and your donation will help our youth become leaders in our community!
Thank you for your donation!
