CDRS Pakistan Quake Emergency Aid

Dear friends and family
As you will be aware, we were due to host a fundraising lunch on Sunday 15th November - with the purpose of raising much needed funds for the disaster relief in Northern Pakistan.
Unfortunately, we have taken the sad decision to postpone the event due to the venue - Nawaab’s Restaurant - changing its agreed terms with CDRS and thereby reducing the amount of money we would raise with each ticket sale. Given that this is a charity event this was not something that we ethically felt comfortable with.
With only a week to go before the scheduled event, we have decided to open a fundraising page to raise as much money as we can – given how great the need is right now.
We then plan to organise a much bigger event in December, which we very much hope that you will grace us with your presence, This event will be run in association with Medical Aid Pakistan (http://www.medicalaid.org.uk/)
and the British Pakistan Foundation (http://www.britishpakistanfoundation.com/) - both organisation have a long track record in supporting the people of Pakistan.
In the meantime, we hope that you can please make whatever donation you are able to make and we will use this page to update you on how the funds will be used.

CDRS have won medals from Pakistan and several distinguished organisations for our earthquake relief work, and are an organisation with a proven track record of delivering effective disaster relief to any area of Pakistan which needs help after any type of disaster. We have strong and transparent financial records and all funds and activities have cleared annual and project specific audits every year since we were formed after the 2005 earthquake.
