In our 150th year a core group of Nottingham Forest supporters have been working with http://www.supporters-direct.org with a view to creating a Nottingham Forest Supporters Trust. We have put some initial information out via our Twitter account @NFFCTrust - Give us a follow!
Nottingham Forest Supporters Trust
• Would be a non-profit making Supporters Trust.
• Membership will be open to all fans of Nottingham Forest Football Club.
• Will be totally independent of Nottingham Forest Football Club.
• Will be democratic. On a one member one vote basis.
• Roles will be undertaken on a voluntary basis. Committee members will be democratically elected.
• Believes the Directors and Chairman of Nottingham Forest Football Club should act in the best interests of the community that the club serves.
NFFC Trust is NOT a Supporters Club. NFFC Trust and the Supporters Club will hopefully co-exist, with each having a distinct and important role to play. We are NOT a protest group but a positive force for change
Supporters Direct have been brilliant in getting us to a position where we will soon be able to announce our 'open meeting' date (TBC but likely to be 7th April 2016) where fans will be able to hear about the proposals to form a trust. We have secured commitment from Supporters Direct, Foxes Trust (Leicester City Supporters Trust) and our core group, to present at the forthcoming meeting. We hope that many of you will attend and we have been amazed by the amount of support we've had so far.
In order to get the trust off the ground and meet the costs of printing, venue hire, screen, PA system etc, we are asking for your help. We are digging deep ourselves but need your help too. We strongly believe that a potential trust can be a massive benefit to fans, the club and the local community.
