Assalama Aleykum,
Allow me to share with you a heartbreaking and painful story of Aanood family.
They are currently living in a deeply impoverished and highly unstable condition at a camp in the outskirts of Garowe (Northeastern region of Somalia). They don’t have adequate shelter protecting them from the elements and they are barely surviving off the generosity of strangers.
I watched a video of them begging for help and it shook me to my core. They are a multi-generational family of 4 adults (all of whom are disabled) and 9 children between the ages of 3 to 17 years.
Life in this world is not permanent and some of us are in a position to lend a helping hand. If you woke up from a clean bed, had breakfast and not experiencing a crippling pain, you are abundantly blessed compared to this family.

Mother/Grandmother: Dahabo Mohamed Halan, she has acute mobility issues
Her adult sons:
Abdi Aanood Gaabane blind with (9 kids)—used to be the sole breadwinner for the entire family, his wife left him with the kids.
Asad Aanood Gaabane: Mentally disabled adult son who is unable to care for himself.
Husband:
Caanood Gaabane: Also mentally disabled and aging man who needs full time care
